I can’t think of a title for this because I’m too tired from staying up preparing to shoot a crazy, racist motherfucker in the face. | Fetch My Flying Monkeys
Everyone needs a fleet of flying monkeys to rip the stuffing out of the annoying people in their lives
— Laura

My friend Richelle, who y’all should know because I write about our adventures all the time on here, is one of the funniest, nicest, most generous, sweetest human beings I know. Last night she called me and told me she had stopped at WalMart on her way home from work and as she walked out the door, heading to her car, a strange man who was sitting in his car stopped her and said “Hi, I’m just a middle-aged guy and I just want to say you’re nothing but a N-word and I should shoot you in the face.”

I immediately said “Did you get his plate number? Did you call the police?” She said no, she wasn’t in the right position, and all she could think about at that second was getting to her car and leaving. While my head was wrapping around what she just told me and wondering why the fuck anyone would say such a thing and simultaneously thinking WalMart should have security camera footage of this, she said she got home did some stuff around the house and then went to her mailbox and there was a note stuck in the flag on the box that had “Thank you, N-word” scrawled on it. AT HER HOUSE where HE FOLLOWED HER. She said she ran back in her house, looked out several times and thought she saw his car. She told me she was scared. Instantly I told her to call the police, secure her house, lock everything, set the alarm, and stay there. I hung-up, strapped-up, and started calling some friends I knew that lived closer to her to go there. Then I called her to tell her who was coming as I got in my car.

By the time I got there it looked like the President was in town. There was that much activity going on. The police took her statement, searched the neighborhood, and promised to do drive-bys. The people I called stayed and we ate pancakes and decided what she’ll be doing for a while.

She asked me to take her to the gun store and then teach her how to use it properly. We’ll be doing that this weekend. I’ve reserved range time and she’ll be signed up for some classes for her permit. This is the third female friend of mine in the last two years that has come face-to-face with something like this, or even worse violence, and has asked me to help arm and teach them. I really should start charging these bitches. Nah.

  1. Roxanne says:

    Kill that fucker hard. Seriously.

  2. MorningGlory says:

This positively disgusts me. I can’t think of anything witty to say because this DISGUSTS me. I assume that nothing else happened between last night and this morning, or you would have told us. What did the cops do? What CAN the cops do?

I’ve heard so many time that the cops can’t do anything until there is actually crime committed — leaving the note in her mailbox would qualify as a crime, right? This is why everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, should own a gun and know how to use it. The cops can’t be everywhere.

Racist bastard! Did Richelle recognize this douchebag? Maybe she saw him at a store or a restaurant or something? There must be some reason he singled her out (besides that she’s awesome). Does she have a dog? She should get a BIG ASS DOG. And a gun.

    • Laura says:

A complete and total stranger. The police took the note and will be viewing Walmart video. They are taking it serious as is she and we have a team together to watch her and/or she’s staying with me.

  3. rdennis says:

There are lots of stupid people out there, the only reason they are not dead is because you can’t afford to hire a hitman or it’s illegal to kill them! Son of a bitch!

  4. Julia says:

Wow! That is unbelievable. I’m glad she’s ok. She’s lucky – we should all have friends who are locked and loaded when we need them. Hope the cops catch this wacko!

  5. Christina says:

    WTF!! That is just horrible.

  6. DearSweetMama says:

Hammer time. Got to be strapped – sometimes just cuz it makes you feel better. Not cuz you get to shoot someone. Oh, no.

  7. That is horrible! I keep putting off getting my Permit to Carry maybe I need to get to a class ASAP. People are just stupid.

  8. cricket says:

If I could foam at the mouth, I would. There’s something seriously wrong with that dude. Glad the police are taking it seriously and doing all in their power for now to do. Hope they find him and are forced to tazer the bastard a few times.

You should hold a self defense class for the ladies. Party mandatory for after.

  9. Yabu says:

Get her all up and downtown with the gun thing. I fucking hate racism in any form or fashion. Her life just changed, and she will have to adapt. Sad, but true.

If she can accommodate a dog, ask her to get one. Best security (alert) system, ever…but she needs the gun.

  10. wpdunn71901 says:

wither you are a bigot or not, there is no constitutional right to not be offended, this is plain WRONG. if i dislike Richelle because of her race, or her religion or for flucks sake her apple brown betty recipe I have NO right to invade her space – NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO INFLICT THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT ON ANYONE

  11. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY??
I’m NOT EVEN going to imply that he is likely a Tea Partier. Or tea bagger. But he’s likely both. Asshole.

I can get a flight down there stat, and we’ll “Neighborhood Watch” his ass. Like, the neighborhood will watch as I take him down and pulverize his genitals.

You are a good friend. I’m proud of you.

  12. When you shoot this motherfucker in the face, I would recommend a shotgun loaded with rock salt.

That way, he can writhe on the ground in agony for a few minutes while you close in to blast off selected parts of his anatomy with your .357, all the while explaining what you are going to blow off next, and why, and that you will feed any leftover pieces big enough to find to the gators.

  13. karen says:

I am upset that Richelle was threatened. I know that her view on everything will be forever changed, but please assure her ,the best that you can, that the entire world is not as ugly as that individual.

  14. Erin says:

Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with people? He probably beats animals too. Sick fuck.

  15. Jennifer says:

Poor Richelle!! That motherfucker should die in a fiery car crash!

I know if shit ever hits the fan, I’m calling you. And I know everyone that knows you do!

  16. Heather says:

Richelle had the troops at her house huh? I hope they catch that fucker!

  17. C.E. says:

Damn…Douchecanoe must have a death wish to mess with any friend of yours…. Hope you catch him with a weapon so you can claim self defense. One less racist will not be missed.

  18. Jan says:

Horrible, but at least she has friends who will look out for her.

  19. Just goes to show there are still plenty of ignorant a**holes running around loose. When we lived in Virginia Beach my wife liked to go to the Bingo halls a couple nights a week to blow off steam and maybe bring home a few extra bucks. There was a rash of jackpot winners, all female, getting robbed in their own driveways after the games. That gave me the perfect idea for a Valentine’s Day gift for THE BOSS….a .38 snubby and permit classes. We’ve both held concealed carry permits for over 10 years now. Back in VB we carried all the time but here in God’s country we only do it when we’re travelling or when we’re out shooting pictures on the back roads where the chances of running across a meth lab are increasing all the time.

USAF Special Operations Command spent a lot of good money teaching me how to use weapons and I’ve passed that training along to THE BOSS and MINI BOSS who will be getting her permit once she turns 21 in a couple years. In the meantime she has to leave her pistol in my gun vault but keeps her pepper spray close at hand at all times and her 20 gauge shotgun on the passenger side seat when she travels locked, cocked and ready to rock.

    • Laura says:

      Tasers are nice too..just saying.

Yea, I know a lot of people that no business with a weapon. I grew up around them, Uncle Sam showed me a few things, and then I became a government assassin.

  20. BreAnn says:

I don’t know much about guns, except what I watch on Top Shot. I’m gonna go sharpen a shank though, those seem straight forward enough.

  21. nightfly says:

Racists are always in season. No limit, either. Bag that turd-muncher.

  22. Kim says:

Vomitous. Horrifying. Give her hugs and righteously angry vibes from here. Plus, holy shit that’s physically scary. You’ve got vermin roaming around with awareness of YOU (her). Were the local newspeople there?

  23. Elphaba says:

I’m sorry Richelle is going through this but very glad that she has friends like you to empower her.

I was bummed, however, to see an earlier comment from one of your readers about how this guy might be a Tea Partier. It is completely unfounded to paint Tea Party activists as racist…that is bullshit of the lowest order. As someone who identifies with the goals of the Tea Party (protect the Constitution, goddammit!), that really offends me. :(

    • Laura says:

Then I must be a Tea Partier too. I am oblivious to such things and can remove it. I want no commenter offended. This isn’t the place for such shit.

    • Elphaba – As someone else who identifies with the Tea Party ideals about smaller government, I agree with you on this. What Richelle had to endure was wrong & horrifying and it has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with someone being a racist asshole.

      • Laura says:

Agree. And there will be no insulting of others on here. Only I am allowed to do that! Ha!

        • Laura, it was me who made the comment they’re talking about.
First, 99% of what I say is in sarcastic jest. That’s how I roll.
Second, it was offensive to someone, which makes me feel bad. But I’m not retracting my statement. I know when I typed that that I was generalizing the attitudes of a percentage of a group onto the whole group (Tea Party), but it is in fact there.
Laura can delete my earlier comment if she wants because it’s her blog and I know that she doesn’t want A single reader offended. I respect her completely.

          • Laura says:

Girl, first off- I offend people ALL THE TIME. It’s like my job. I just don’t want commenters attacked/offended by each other because who the hell wants to get on the internet, make a comment on a blog you like to read and be attacked? A person will go “Fuck it” and then not return. I sure as hell wouldn’t and I don’t write this blog because I’m trying to get rich, or get a book deal- I’ve made no bones about it- it’s for attention, and who the hell can get attention if people are all off topic, and by off topic, I mean not paying attention to me?

    • Jena says:

Elphaba… I felt the same. It did kinda piss me off too.

      • Marvie says:

Me too. Offended. (And yes, that’s not illegal, just a fact.) There are racists in every group, on EVERY side, even if they stay hidden. The tea party majority are anything BUT racist. Please open your ears & eyes. Don’t believe everything you hear/read. — Marvie

  24. dana says:

First: He’s not ‘on duty’ during the day. He operates at night.

Second: the ‘thank you’ note bothers me more than anything. He’s not just a racist..

Third: He’s mentally unbalanced. Which out classes hatred, cuz you can hate, yet still realize there’s laws.

    Fourth:
    *I’ve been angry.
    *I’ve been heartbroken.
*I’ve been ferocious and went all ape-shit on a group of thugs kicking a dog for fun. *And I’ve been full of fear.

    FEAR IS THE WORST.

I would drive the Walmart parking lot at night looking for him. Richelle’s GOT to remember SOMETHING about him or his car or where he parked.

  25. Michael says:

Richelle is lucky to have a friend such as you and the others that responded to the impromt pancake party. I am not making light of the situation for it is serious and it seems that with proper instruction it will be dealt with. Good hunting

  26. This jackoff needs to be drawn and quartered, his entrails set on fire, and his heart plucked out while it’s still beating.

And then I will get nasty.

  27. CGHill says:

So far as I know, there’s no bag limit on crazy, racist motherfuckers, so presumably you can shoot every last one of them and do the world a favor.

  28. Laura, you need to take this whole thing up a notch or two and form your own sort of militia. It will be manned with all the hot chicks you’ve trained. Uniform would be standard issue: militia mini skirt, leather form fitted boots, camouflage camisole, no bra – bras don’t make good combat. All members would pack automatics, combat cutlery and various and sundry incendiaries. All will be well versed in the martial arts and conventional hand to hand. Routine patrols will focus on big box parking lots. Security pat downs would be frequent and relentless. No need to thank me, le general. It’s what I do.

BTW, the person who made the shit comment about “tea baggers” – that just might be your man.

  29. Holy shit! This fucking pisses me off so bad. It’s one thing to be a dipsht, waste of space racist, but quite another to go so far as to threaten and scare the shit out of someone. She is lucky to have you as a friend.

On a completely different subject, stop by my site when you have a moment. I announced the winner of the wangworthy mug. I don’t want to ruin the surprise but it was you!!!

  30. Christina, HeadZookeeper@TheWilsonZoo says:

Some people just suck. When I run into a$$holes like that, I often shake my head and say “Some people’s children” ’cause they had to learn crap attitude somewhere…

    I’d suggest:
    1) a nice .45 (or whatever feels comfortable to her hand), accessorized with a concealed carry permit
    2) a large, intimidating indoor dog (or two) (yard dogs are too easily disposed of)
    3) an alarm system – and arm it even when you’re home
    4) whatever training is required to use all 3 safely & effectively (including the dog)

I am SO glad everyone is taking this seriously, even the police.

And for those that wondered about the cretin putting the note on her mailbox. According to the USPS Dometic Mail Manual (DMM): “No part of a mail receptacle may be used to deliver any matter not bearing postage, including items or matter placed upon, supported by, attached to, hung from, or inserted into a mail receptacle. Any mailable matter not bearing postage and found as described above is subject to the same postage as would be paid if it were carried by mail.” He committed mail fraud. Unfortunately, it appears the only penalty is a fine of up to $300. Even though you are responsible for the care & upkeep of your mailbox, it belongs to the post office.

    • Laura says:

Yeah, I think I’ll let her try out a .45 and a .38. I think she needs one with a laser sight. I’ll see what’s what tomorrow. She has an alarm system. I may have to send Jack over there to lock down her security, or pee on a rug, probably both.

      • silo says:

new to your site just going through random posts, probably far too late for this to be of any use, but my general two cents about pistols:

        1) avoid laser sights. For most shooters they increase target acquisition time (the shooter spends longer “perfecting” the aim) along with reducing stability (seeing the little dot dance some typically results in the shooter tensing up, making it dance more, going into that fun little downward spiral where you lose a lot of control). While it can be a shortcut to get someone slightly more capable more quickly, laser sights aren’t always beneficial to learning good shooting habits.

        2) a .45 is too big. No, I’m not falling back on some BS women are weak argument, but just that unless you’re talking about trying to bring down some roided-up PCPed psycho, a 9mm *will* do the job. Additionally, since the 9mm is the caliber that the military primarily uses, the ammo is cheap as hell allowing for much more range time without putting the dent in the bank like other calibers can. But the bulk of a .45, expense of ammo, marginal improvement in stopping power, lower bullet count (bigger rounds=less in the mag), and the like just generally screams not a first gun to me.

        3) As your former military, I’m pretty sure you know this bit, but I’ve nothing better to do and am all kinds of long-winded, so here goes: have her practice the hell out of the draw, especially with the 27 foot stand off in mind. Depending on what condition she carries, the draw might also have to include racking a round, which again necessitates hella practice. I think the definition of suckage is getting shot by your own gun…

But either way, I’m happy to hear that you’re you’re setting her on the right path, albeit under craptacular circumstances. More power to you.

        • Laura says:

Thank you. She did settle on a .38 because she was the most comfortable with it- which is important as you know for a newbie. And she already has her CWP and is still doing time at the range. She now wants a 9mm Glock. Ha!

  31. mindy says:

Holy Christ! I hope you find him. It’s funny, my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I said, “Learn how to shoot a gun!” I’m actually signed up to take an introductory gun class and target practice with a Glock. I don’t think I would ever keep a gun in my house per se (because I would be tempted to troll the Wal-mart parking lot looking for this dude), but I do think it is excruciatingly important to KNOW how to use one. Just in case I ever need to.

  32. Merry says:

Until Richelle is ready to carry she should carry a can of wasp spray in her car, it shoots a long distance unlike the need to get close with pepper spray and it’s accurate and you hit them in the face they will stop long enough for you to get away or do them further damage and the cops never question why you have wasp spray in the car!! I make my kids and friends kids who are not old enough yet to carry keep one in right in the pocket on the driver’s side door of their cars at all times!

  33. Liz says:

    +1 to MorningGlory – I’m DISGUSTED!!
+1 to Dana – Fear is horrible and I wish with all my heart that Richelle didn’t have to feel that way.
+1 to LC – I hope he gets all those things and WORSE. I’d like to see him hung by his dick to see how it feels. Not so good? Too bad you racist pigshit.

I hope you all find him in the Walmart parking lot and he finds himself in a “scary” situation.

  34. Liz says:

PS – Wisconsin recently passed a conceled carry bill. I’ve been thinking about getting me a gun and a permit. This has made my decision for me. There are too many dipshits out there. I want to be protected if I meet one.

    • Laura says:

Always be as prepared as you can and it is vital that you get not only trained but conditioned on when to use it without question.

      • Liz says:

That’s my plan Laura. Traning and help on becoming fearless in a life threatening situation. I know people that have had guns but were afraid to use them when they should have. I don’t want to be that person and either get killed or hurt. I’d pay you to do it if you lived here!! Circus peanuts AND gin!

  35. QueenBee says:

Killing is too good for the likes of this guy….

  36. Otter says:

that’s disgusting. I’m glad to hear the police are taking it seriously. We love you , Richelle!

  37. Jena says:

Im glad she is ok for now. Im even happier she has you for a friend! You teach her and make sure she takes that class. That mother fucker needs to die.

  38. Mrs. Who says:

Damn that asshole…Each of his limbs should be tied by barbed wire to four angry mama alligators, while their young are placed in strategic places on his body. Then he should be flayed with a cat o’ nine tails, each tip covered with the venom of a Black Mamba snake, and then have a horde of angry baboons descend upon his pain-wracked body to suck the venom out of the wounds.

Then the real torture could begin.
    *****************
Tell Richelle to arm herself as fast as she can and get VERY familiar with her weapon (better yet, weaponS…side-arm and shotgun).

And then get one of these:

  39. jazz1013 says:

What the hell is wrong with people these days??? I just don’t understand it. Crazy racist bastards!

I’ve been thinking of getting protection for myself for awhile now and my birthday is coming up. Seems like a better idea all the time.

Your friend, Richelle, is fortunate to be surrounded by people who care for her well being. I hope she comes out the other side of this better than ever.

  40. Marvie says:

Hugs for Richelle! This dude is one of the lowest. I’m glad she called you & got the troops involved.
It really is so scary, and sad. Let’s hope he has no kids, & never will.
I too have procrastinated on gun training/ownership. Time to get it on.
Thanks for being there for Richelle! — Marvie

  41. amanda says:

Whew that’s a lot of comments. I pretty much agree with them all. Richelle is lucky to have you as her coach. As someone who has been through a “scary situation” might I also suggest that you “role play” with Richelle. Being prepared for a verbal exchange helps so much. You are such a good friend!

  42. DogsDontPurr says:

This post made me weep. I was once stalked….for over a year. I know first hand the terror of it. Big hugs to you and Richelle and your posse.

Maybe Yabu needs to build a safehouse in his town where you can shelter until the scumbag is caught!

  43. Jeffro says:

Yannow, ya read about how smallpox or other ancient diseases we thought were cured aren’t really gone. Then we hear shit like this. I suppose as long as there are batshit crazy people out there, racism and other ugly crimes will survive.

And thank you for offering to help Richelle out with the whole gun thing. She’s so much better off learning from someone she knows and trusts.

  44. TINK says:

I dont even know what to say. I cant believe there are still ignorant fuckers in this world like this guy. It is revolting to me. I am thoroughly disgusted. Somebody shoot him in the face. Right in his big fat mouth.

  45. Sheri O says:

I am just disgusted that there are people like that asshole. So sorry that Richelle had that happen to her. I am also saddened that some people are quick to label racism with conservative groups. I don’t like to see our country so polarized by race and class systems of any kind.
    WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT!

Keep strong Richelle – I am a newcomer to gun ownership too. The confidence I have gained by knowing that I can defend myself if necessary has been very empowering! I just wish I had been able to impart that knowledge to my daughter before she went off to Veterinary Medical School in a state far, far away! (She does keep wasp spray around though)

We all stand behind you Richelle. There is no place for people like that jerk.

    • Laura says:

It is nice to hear about the confidence a new female gun owner gains. I seriously could not live alone (without a certain amount of fear) without a gun. And again, who wants to live like that? I still, of course, respect people that don’t want/like guns in their home because the basic thing about gun ownership for protection is you must be comfortable and respectful in handling them and if you know for a fact you can’t- then for Godsake don’t ever touch a gun.

I personally label racism with the ignorant asshole group of people that come from all walks of life.

    • Mrs. Who says:

“The confidence I have gained by knowing that I can defend myself if necessary has been very empowering!”

That confidence can be a defense in itself too…the way you carry yourself can deter the wrong kind of attention. A gun doesn’t have to be worn on the hip to be a deterrent.

  46. ManhattanMaven says:

It’s truly horrifying that people like that still exist in this day & age!! Every time i think we may actually getting PAST this in our society…one of these cretons rears his ugly head and once again destroys my faith in humanity!! AARRGHHHHHH!!

  47. Curtal Friar says:

Yeah, your friend needs a gun and needs to get good with it, STAT.

Still, there’s nothing more satisfying than beating an asshole like that to a pulp with a baseball bat.

Starting from the shins and working up.

  48. Larry says:

“I’m NOT EVEN going to imply that he is likely a Tea Partier. Or tea bagger. But he’s likely both.”
Nice way not to imply. He’s likely neither, and if you have ever attended a TEA Party rally you would know that. He’s likely a leftist douchebag who thinks she should get back on the plantation.
With that being said, I have never understood why they don’t offer firearms courses at battered womens’ shelters. IMO the best way to reduce the number of victims is teach them how not to be one.
Good on you for showing Richelle the way.

    • Laura says:

I don’t label a racist with anything but being an ignorant mean asshole. I’ve seen them from every so-called “group” all my life. I also have heard every political group calling every other political group the same thing back and forth. And the same with religious groups. Everyone likes to think “My way/belief is the RIGHT way and the ONLY way and the rest of you are evil, retarded, backwoods, ignorant, misinformed motherfuckers and I’m going to scream and preach my way and call you names until I make you believe as I do!” Good people do this. So I don’t want that kind of stuff here. Unless I do it. HAHA!!

Okay, stepping off soapbox, yes, women need to be empowered, in whatever way, and taught to never be victims.

  49. OMG that is super scary. I’m glad no one was hurt, and hopefully that douche-nozzle will stay away. Also, did the pancakes help? They usually do.

  50. [...] over at Fetch My Flying Monkeys gave an account yesterday of her friend Richelle’s run-in with a racist @$$#*!&. We in the blogosphere [...]

  51. Nora says:

Words can’t express…I moved from SC because of the attitudes…if you don’t belong to one group you are looked down on.
Laura ~ teach her well( no Gin or circus peanuts ’till the weapons are safe and secure) ..ALWAYS know what you are shooting at.
Richelle, be safe and remember this is NOT the attitude of normal people…watch your six but don’t let it take the joy out of your life. You are precious…you make Laura smile and keep her out of jail

    • Laura says:

Oh this isn’t my first rodeo. I can’t shoot straight after 2 Circus Peanuts anyway.

And I think it was very important that after she felt threatened she saw a shitload of people from all walks of life supporting and protecting her.

  52. Tea says:

I was all prepared to laugh and snort at whatever you said today, and even put my coffee down. Then I was so pissed I ended up spilling it anyhow.
I’m super glad she’s getting armed, and I don’t know how long the class/permit process takes, but in the meantime, does she carry mace?
I’m sorry she (and plenty of other people) have to go through with this… so if your neighborhood watch association needs another member, even if just to provide alibis, I’m all in.

  53. [...] tolerated or experienced or even an issue. Pretending is all it is. Her entire post can be found here, and is worth the read. We should know what others have to experience, even if we don’t [...]

  54. Mrs. Who says:

One quick question…since the note was left on the mailbox, doesn’t that constitute a federal crime of some sort?

  55. kim says:

    ok first that sucks :(
second, that is really weird that he was so matter of fact about it and then followed her out of nowhere (i am guessing she wasn’t the only woman of color he has ever seen in the south). he sounds like he is more unstable than anything which is way worse and scarier than just being racist (not that racism is good by any means but just that the crazies are the ones that really scare me). good luck to you guys, i’m sorry richelle has to go through this :-/

  56. GOD BLESS YOU, Laura!

Seriously, it is a mighty thing to protect your friend like that and, what’s more, get her qualified with a firearm. I am not even going to pretend I can out-wrestle some guy or throw a punch as hard – I’m strng for a woman, but when it’s this dirty, I want a fucking equalizer in my hands. Both my husband and I sleep with our .45′s in our nightstand, and when our sweet girl child turns 18, she’ll get her own protection (both my kids have been through handgun classes).

I don’t care if you live in a “safe” neighborhood. Cuts in police budgets mean the wait time on 9-1-1 alls is getting longer and too much can happen in seconds.

Tell Richelle, she’s too far for my physical protection but she’s got my prayers. St. Joan of arc, patroness of women who fight back, defend her.

    • Laura says:

I don’t think I did anything special, but thank you. I think I’m just trained and conditioned for these kinds of emergencies more than my friends. I have to toughen ‘em up and have them trained by the zombie apocaliypse anyway, so I won’t have to use them as bait because that would make me feel bad. Ha!

      • Well, just so you know, I am Roman Catholic, and I have my tradition that when the priest lifts the consecrated Bread and Wine – which I do believe is the Body and Blood of Christ – I state my prayer intentions to Him, then and there, figuring if He is before me, it’s a good time to have them raised. Today when Father lifted high the chalice, I asked Him to keep Richelle and all victims of racism safe, and to send His ministering angels to do some Old Testament smitin’. ‘Cause some folks need to be smote to learn their lesson.

  57. MissAli says:

I was thinking about getting a gun, but I would feel just as safe if I had a bumper sticker and some pins made up that said “I know Laura Ledford.” Then people would just know not to fuck with me.

  58. Terri the Terror says:

I can’t think of anything to say that everyone else hasn’t said other than this kind of shit just makes me want to puke. I hope you find the fucker and happen to have some mace and a baseball bat handy.

  59. Jess says:

The bastards crazy and it probably has little to do with race.

In a less polite world, the bastard would be shot on sight.

  60. Michelle says:

I hate racisit motherfuckers and I am so glad my dad taught me how to handle a weapon.

One of my favorite sayings though is “you can’t prepare for crazy”.

Tell Richelle to be strong and remember not everyone is stupid and mean.

  61. Suzanne says:

What time am I on-duty at her house?

    Seriously fucked-up.

  62. Nicole says:

So sorry to read this. I hate it when people validate my low confidence in the species and good people have to suffer.

She has excellent friends though, and will come through this stronger, I’m sure.

  63. Gary says:

Raceism and bigotry is alive and well in this country, it never ceases to amaze me to what levels humans can stoop to or another reach up to and spew such hatered towards people different from them…different is not wrong…Different is whats right about this country..
It takes all the people in this country to stand up and say enough is enough..this has to stop..when I see a baby dressed in a KKK White sheet…I want to slap their parents…

  64. That is so terrible. Tell Richelle I said I was so sorry to hear about it. I get sexisit stuff directed at me, but not racist. And not that scary.

Also, I just commented on a more recent post about nicknaming a gun. I think Richelle should call her gun “Master Moofassa” or something equally intimidating.

  65. Cheryl says:

omilord and good for you and I can’t believe that happened?!?! I’m so glad you”re helping them learn how to defend themselves. I chased some boys away from my teen daughters’ windows a zillion years ago with my son’s bb gun. It had the wicked “click” and did the trick. Rumblings of “crazy mom” was all over high school! but it never happened again………..

  66. diamond dave says:

Cretins like that are an affront and an insult to the rest of us non-prejudiced, respectable rednecks. Jerk was probably some nutsack who’s idea of amusement is trying to intimidate people like your friend, but would probably shit himself if confronted by a real man, or armed woman. Your friend would be wise to arm herself though, but I hope she doesn’t live in fear. That’s what people like that feed off of.

  67. April says:

It makes me SO sad to think that this shit is happening in this day and age. Seriously? Can’t we all just grow the hell up and see that the differences in other people is what makes us awesome?! I hope your friend is okay and that asshole gets exactly what he deserves.
